It’s 10:42 pm on a Thursday. I’m sitting at my desk thinking about my next move. Then my phone beeps, someone is requesting to send me a message. Whattttt, you want me for what? I’m excited and ready!

The message reads: You have some nice pieces, would you be interested in displaying your work at our Art and Canvas event along with other great local artists?

Ummmmmmmmmm, of course! is what I said. So, when is it? I asked. A little over 3 weeks.

Whattttt? Ok by this point my creative juices had already created 4 potential looks and I picked out my material without being home yet. So, I accepted the opportunity and got to work on finding my models, a makeup artist and creating the looks. I seriously get a high I can’t describe when it comes to creating looks, so I’m all in!

Everything is coming together effortlessly. When I think of the look I wanted to portray, I envision class with every bit of vibrancy (my brand). So the pieces I choose give the illusion of abstract art. I want the art of a woman’s physique to reflect the illusion of visual joy, visual stimulation. The art of the garment touching the art of the body to reflect subtle confidence.

The time is here, it’s the day of the event. Models have their pieces on and makeup is done. The looks, shape, colors, and lines created a visual orgasm. For myself, I wanted comfort and to stand out, so I went with creating an infinity romper with not an ounce of coy. When it comes to colors or prints I’m all about it. Fashion is an expression, fashion is art! To be placed and work alongside so many talented artists was a great feeling! I am a creator of fashion, and fashion is a visual language… it’s my onlookers perspective. Let me create for you!
